Sod Types
Siouxland Sod specializes in two types of hardy, midwestern sod:
HD Sports 2.0™ Kentucky Bluegrass Sod

Tall Fescue Sod
This hardy fescue sod is perfect for our midwestern climate, and a wonderful option for residential, commercial, and recreational lawns.
Bulk Sod
Bulk sod orders of 15,000 sq. ft. or more qualify for fast delivery and full installation support across our 300-mile service region.
How to Measure Your Lawn
Begin by dividing your lawn into major shapes. Squares, rectangles, and triangles are common shapes within a yard, and are easier to measure accurately. Using a long measuring tape (50-100 feet), determine the square footage of each of these shapes:
- Rectangles: Area = Length × Width – Measure the length, then the width, and multiply those numbers together.
- Squares: Area = Side × Side (or Side²) – Measure one side, then multiply that number by itself.
- Triangles: Area = (Base × Height) / 2 – Measure the base and height of the triangle, then divide that number by 2.
